I've come to MediaMonkey for one, awesome, unbeatable feature: on-the-fly transcoding of my Ogg-Vorbis based music library to mp3-DVDs which my car-stereo can play. It's fantastic.
But, as DVDs become fuller and fuller, I would like to fine tune the bitrate setting of the destination files: the jump from VBR V4 (~154 kbps) to V5 (~130 kbps) is too large. If I remember correctly, LAME and most other encoders support VBR settings of fractional increments: i.e. "4.5", which would result in ~142 kbps and thus use the limited space on the DVDs better if I'm forced to reduce quality, i.e. to get all Soundtracks on one DVD.
Is this possible? Thanks!
Fine tune MP3 VBR settings

No there is no way to set middle fractional setting. You can limit highest rate to somehow lower bitrate.
Do you know any application that can set that "4.5"?
