Problem with Dragon naturally speaking [#8242]

Post by alirezanoori »

Today I just installed Dragon NaturallySpeaking. When I switch to media monkey, and I speak, media monkey immediately crashes.
I don't know what the problem is but I guess it has something to do with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
Please look more into it if it's possible.
Best regards, Alireza Noori.

As usual a debug log send to support would be useful: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Professional, Windows 7 SP1, and I just tested with MediaMonkey beta 1398 skinned debug version (Windows system seeing checked). MediaMonkey was playing and minimized to the taskbar.I said "switch to MediaMonkey"; MediaMonkey became an minimized as expected and continued playing.

I frequently control MediaMonkey with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and have set up a number of macros – "play song", "stop playing" etc.; to the best of my knowledge, since I started testing the MediaMonkey betas (1369) I have not used Dragon NaturallySpeaking to control it. I tested 1398 and found that some of my macros work but some no longer performed as expected – this is not too surprising; as soon as MediaMonkey gets out of beta I will go back to my scripts and edit them to make them work. I would be happy to share my scripts – just ask.

I have tested it again, and once more it crashed. I don't know what's the problem but I'm sure it's some problem with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and media monkey.

Alirezanoori,

The log you posted doesn't show much. Did an .elf file get sent?

Note: if it wasn't sent, you can check in your MM directory or in Appdata/Roaming/Eurekalog/ for MediaMonkey.elf

Thanks.

In the meantime, can you confirm whether this still occurs with a recent build (e.g. 1418)?

Thanks.
