metadata lookup artwork (save automatically) not working

i have MM gold, and the metadata lookup function is not working properly. it seems to tag the lyrics, but not the artwork. it was working a few days ago, but has since stopped. even if i reinstall MM in portable mode or standard mode, it wont auto-tag my artwork.
I was double clicking on multiple albums sequentially to queue them so that MM would auto tag albums with no album art. It seemed like after queueing several albums mm locked up. And now, hence this issue.
i am using MM 4.1.0.1672 portable.
I'm using windows 7

This is currently broken in 4.1.0.1692, again it was working a few weeks ago, but has now stopped.
