MM searching on floppy drive

Post by thort »

MM seems to be an useful program. But one thing is peculiar.

Why is it searching on my floppy drive every 30 seconds?

I'm running MM 2.1 (Build 1.596) along whith XP Home edition.

By default there should be a line in [System] section of MediaMonkey.ini stating:
IgnoreDriveLetters=AB
That should prevent scanning these drive letters. Do you have the line there and don't you have another floppy drive?

I have the line. I do only have one floppy drive, A.

I tried uninstalling MM and installing it again. It didn't help.

Is there something more I can do? This a-scanning doesn't appear whith any other programs. It will be inconvenient to use the program whith this disturbance. :(

Stupid me! Why didn't I think of my internal zip-drive?

I edited MediaMonkey.ini and added the drive letter (E) for my zip-drive.

Now the line reads: IgnoreDriveLetters=ABE

I'm glad. Now I can use MM whithout any floppy drive scanning.

Thanks jiri for helping me!
