mmw wipes out ratings in mma with no setting changes

There are times when I both love and loathe my dependency on mmw & mma.

I spent the evening reveling in the ease of navigation and wonderful new features that came with the last mma update. It's awesome.

Then I sync to mmw and it wipes many hours of work away by stompin out all my ratings in mma.

I use mmw 4.1.8.1751 in Win 7 and mma 1.1.3.0465 on a Note 3. I have not changed settings from their configuration over the long perfectly working period since the last update screwed up my syncs in the same manner (which I reported on the forum and a fix was acknowledged).

All my music is in the phone memory. I have an mem card installed, but use it only for photos.

Now I have do my 3 hour weekly radio show tomorrow morning and without the hours of prep work I did.

Do you have the option enabled to sync the ratings from MMA back to MMW?

I have it enabled and it works great as of the latest stable version on my Nexus 6

Did you change Ratings in MMA? Did MMW have no Rating for the same files?

The box remains checked as always (Auto-sync file metadata from the device to the PC).

In mma, I regularly add new ratings and I change ratings. They were syncing back to mmw without issues until recently.

Also 1751 is way to old MMW version for latest BETA of MMA always use latest MMW and MMA version to ensure that all fixes are in order.

Yeah I didn't realize you were using a beta version of MMA. You can't expect the beta version of MMA to work without also using the beta version of MMW.

I paid for MediaMonkeyPro on the Android. My Note 3 shows both mma 1.1.3.0467 and mma Pro 1.1.0008.

mma has been working reasonably well so left it alone. Should I be uninstalling one of these? Which one is the beta that need to be upgraded?

As far as beta versions, I do nothing special. I follow the alerts for new versions of mmw and mma and load as soon as I see them. I don't go looking for beta versions. Occasionally I have installed a beta after receiving advice via the forum.

MMA part is OK Pro you should never uninstall as it holds our license and in no way is tied to neither Stable nor Beta MMA.

When MMA is updated on Market page we always state which version is recomanded. For MMA Beta 467 it is MMW build 1753+ and so on.

Installed the beta mmw and the ratings transfer again.

But a new wrinkle popped up. I'm getting seemingly random "Control 'PnlMain' has no parent window" on various tracks every time I do a sync. I'll get 2 or 3 messages for the same track. If I delete that track, the message moves to another track.

Now mmw hangs repeatedly with a grey box midscreen each time I hit OK on the cascading appearances of the "Control 'PnlMain' has no parent window"

Just shut down mmw and got an error message for the file getting the control message.

"Access violation at address 006EE3BA in module 'MediaMonkey (non-skinned).exe'. Read of address 00000040."

I just did a complete database optimization and rebuild of the search index.
