Gates could learn something!

Post by Kos »

If Microsoft had been as professional with Vista as MM is with testing the 3.0 maybe Vista wouldn't be such a disaster. Therefore: I am very patient in waiting for the full MM 3.0!!!

well lets see now

chris prillio AKA. Lockergnome, had installed vista 5 times and uninstalled it 4 times before he could get it to work with reason to which he was use to. and if he had trouble with it then its a peice of crap. he does multiple newsletters and web site plus video email help that he posts on utube if you have an problem email him he might answer you with a video on utube.
he is in chat rooms.
the guy use to be a host of the call for help television show when it was on the tech tv channel in california and before the channel went off the air. he was only there a season or 2.

so i tend to go with what he leans towards. although he now has it on his computer it took him the 5 trys to get vista working. and he lives in seattle washington up there beside M$.
some one should have been able to get him help on setting up vista but they did not.

and most reports i read about it said the developers and other people in the industry were not going to go to vista.
so if the people in the industry are giving it a thumbs down. so do i.

But that has nothing to do with Vista itself. It was the same with XP and the other OS before.
Software needs it's time, and like with cars, the first versions/models are always some kind of buggy. So wait for a Service Pack...
BTW MediaMonkey wasn't/isn't perfect too.

if my car i buy out of the new car showroom has troubles for months it is a lemon and there are laws against selling those kind of cars to people, the dealers have to take them back and send them to the factory or get sued over it. once a car is found to be a lemon it is not useable in public.

so you say i sould have a lemon os? until they get new parts made for it?

theres a guy in canada that has a televison show about home repair.
his name is mike holmes. his moto is
make it right.

thats a good thing but most are just after the buck.
i for one don't think i want to pave anymore driveways for them at M$.

and that is because of the way they do pricing for their os.
the public has to buy a new copy for the full price, for each computer they want to put it on. or you can buy a special lic. that lets you get one cdrom for the price of how ever many cdroms you would have to buy. so you are still paying full price, and only getting one cdrom.
but the large companys get a break on the price they get the os at a cheaper price per computer, so when some one can pay they get a cut in price. when some one can't pay they have to pay more.

so m$ can take a flying leap off the cliff like the lemmings.
you think billy boy is giving away all that money to be nice?

hoss hocky he gets a tax cut on what he gives away. so the more he gives the less he pays taxs.
he made the money he gave away but he doesn't pay tax on it.
but he would sure collect his retirement fund on according what he made.

there is no need for a new os. the winXp is fine for awhile.
they just wanted to make everyone spend more money.
did you know that every time the new os is realease there are a lot of major bugs in the old version? when there were no bugs in it for a year or more? and the bugs started showing up a few months before the release of the new os.?
something smell rotton and it comes down wind from seattle wash...

Microsoft tried to get around the apparent need for a Service Pack. But with pressure from many companies sticking to XP Microsoft finally gave in - a SP will be arriving soon. That's pretty disastrous in my book...

Seems like being against Microsoft is the new meaning of being "cool" (I do read ZDNet, and they're quite apple-minded). As long as I haven't tried Vista myself (and thoroughly), I won't say anything about it.
Extensions: ExternalTools, ExtractFields, SongPreviewer, LinkedTracks, CleanImport, and some other scripts (Need Help with Addons > List of All Scripts).

I heard on some news program back in January, few days before Vista went 'Live,' that Microsoft had already scheduled a Service Pack... Iunno

thats a good idea steegy but when you got to change the os.
and all file formats for every program you use with each os.
or download a patch converter right out of the gate with the new os.? then the testing before you get an opinon on it is not any good.
it is better to leave that plan for software programs.

the os' should be flawless right out of the gate.

Throw away your computers because you're doomed to misery!

I hope Bill makes ten times more money and doesn't have to pay taxes on any of it. What's it to me? Big whoop! I hope everyone in this forum makes ten times what they're making today and doesn't have to pay any more taxes too! Life is chomping at the bit to give us all whatever we want, and yet so many of us sit down and do nothing. If you want to be a success here are the four things you need.

1) God
2) Family
3) Education
4) Willingness to work hard

It's worked every time it's been tried. But complaining that someone else is too successful is complete insanity, and the fast road to misery.

Moved this to Off topic, as it has no relations to MM beta testing.

I haven't never ever seen piece of software that do not have bugs in it.
Why? As if DOS was perfect than we will still using 286 PC-s, every progress has its flaws. Vista is still to unstable for me to switch, I even install XP (on my home computer) for first time when SP2 was out. I bought Ati x1950 XT with Ice Cube Cooler and returned it three times until I got Ice Cube 3 cooler which is double in size of original one. I managed to test all windows versions from v1. Basically I encourage M$ for what they are doing as basically they wanna do simplifying things (too many years they complicated things up) and that is what is going on (on 386 Computers VGA GPU was doing all the job regarding graphics CPU was too slow, same thing goes with DirectX10. I do not even want to comment about DirectX10.1 problems and hardware compatibility I bought 250 Euros GPU that even do not support DirectX10 and friend of mine bought 8800 for 500+ that also do not Support DirectX10.1 in full). No need for rush all will be settled in a year or so (Vista integrated SP2?).
No my conclusion no Vista on my personal PC (Work one maybe for testing as dual boot) untill at least SP1 is out or I should start a list of patches I need to install to make it work like I wanted.

Small info regarding MM, Vista and my point of view: I had 16 Color transparent gadgets on my Atari Mega STE from '94 (Its still working and I can Rip/Copy/Burn Any CD I imagine with Teac CD-W54S sorry No DRM on Atari, I also test it in PC and EAC gave 100% Acurate Rip test Value on CD that I know it oxidized and full of Scratches, others gave ~10% Top), 2007 brought us lots of changes and new stuff Q2 2008 will be much more interesting when time of E-Fairs come.

My final personal point of view will sound like "Lets don't rush because Vista now natively look/support (not confirmed) I-O Glasses I used to Play Descent 2 on 3dFX Voodoo2 and wait till they fix head tracking in next patch, or take pre order prices, use it, test it and be happy with it."

those 4 things are right.
but when you do the 4th one over and over 10 plus times
and get no where you end up stopping. it use to be i was too young and did not know anything to do the job as i was told
then i all of a sudden knew too much to do the job? there was no in between where i could have worked and made money.
i went from a dumb a.. to a smart a.. over night. and got nothing but junk jobs that were with companys that went out of business with in months of me being hired. several of them the CEO was caught for insider trading. and the company went under to pay his fine.

i don't need hard work i need major money dumpped on me like billy gets dumpped on him. i've done more hard labor then he can even think of. yet i'm broke and he's filthy rich.

i'm worn out and he can still run miles a day. so the hard work is bull. its like that line in the tracy lawrance song.
" Every time I make My Mark Somebody Paints The Wall "

i went to a job seminar where they were going to teach us new skills for a new career. the only thing they gave me was a paid for 6 weeks at a truck driving school. because i had already done that and they could get one guy off their list.

so i took it thinking maybe the dang sheet of paper i get when i got out would give me a good job..

i got out with high marks. then i got on with a company that only wanted to hire students for 2 months which was the limit they had got from the government to beable to be giving a tax break. so when the time for the tax break was up so was the job. so much for hard work.

your numbers 1 , 2 and 3 are always done by me. but i am still living in one room in my sisters house with all my stuff in boxes just like i did at mom and dads house when i was in highschool that was a blooming 30 years ago. i am getting bitter and off topic so i'll stop now and go back to my tree.

I've not had any problems with Vista at all, I'm quite happy with it. Although this appears to be a controversial opinion! :)
