I normally keep the Track # field blanc and while I was removing some track number entries I noticed that, if the track has
a number in the name in the name ie 500 Miles or 1812 Overture or a number in the artist name ie B 52s or 1927 then
the Track # grabs 50, 1812, 52, 1927 in the examples previously mentioned.
Interesting I thought.

To get rid of this behavior, deselect "Infer track properties" in Tool->Options->Library.
Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix Find More From Same - Custom Search. | Transfer PlayStat & Copy-Paste Tags/AlbumArt between any tracks.
Tagging Inconsistencies Do you think you have your tags in order? Think again...
Play History & Stats Node Like having your Last-FM account stored locally, but more advanced.
Case & Leading Zero Fixer Works on filenames too!

Thanks Bex
That was partially effective. About 6 tracks (in about 3500) still insist in getting their own Track # even when the library is rescanned
