Sure! Actually I have the same problem, the monitors do not line up - so I prefer to keep MM on one screen. One 22 inch display is enoughnynaevelan wrote:

Wow, this looks familiar. I wonder why.Owyn wrote: Untick View|Tree, Untick View|Now Playing, and then Tick View|Track Browser is a great view for library management.
iMonkey.
EDIT: I've come to really like this setup, but also enabling Now Playing and docking it right beside the track browser. With a widescreen monitor (or dual monitors), there's more than enough horizontal real estate for both to play nicely together.
Re: Things I like about 3.1
Be sure to minimize it first. Then stretch it over both screens. The screens should be at the same size and with same resolution.nynaevelan wrote:Alkjeks wrote:It looks like it is now possible to maximize a skinned MediaMonkey to both screens in a dual-screen setup. I really like this, as I have many tags I can fit all into MediaMonkey without sidescrolling, and the non-skin version is quite boring.

use the now playing node in the tree. it will change the list to the curent playing song. and that song should be bolded. the now playing window should also do that.
if you are looking for a song that just played. then click the previous button until you find it that should be going in order back throught what just played.

What do you mean? You can search now playing by just changing the dropdown box to "current selection". It works fine here!firefoxsilver9 wrote:all in all, i'm liking 3.1, but of couse i have my issues:

i always thought you could do that in with monkey from day one? didn't know you couldn't! so what skins do you like the best for the dual screens which ones cut the images off halfway across, which ones work best on large dual screens.Alkjeks wrote:Be sure to minimize it first. Do you have the Now Playing node open when you search the current selection? What happens, exactly?firefoxsilver9 wrote:its not working for menohitter151 wrote:What do you mean? Re: Things I like about 3.1
yeah click on the Now Playing node, make sure i select Current Selection like i always do in MM 3.0X, type in a search, but it doesn't search like it used to in the previous version. nothing happens after i type in anything.
Re: Things I like about 3.1
No, it is a new feature, I have asked about it before.rovingcowboy wrote:i always thought you could do that in with monkey from day one? didn't know you couldn't! so what skins do you like the best for the dual screens which ones cut the images off halfway across, which ones work best on large dual screens.Alkjeks wrote:Be sure to minimize it first. I use the standard Glided skinn, because I like the not-so-dominant colors. I don't want to get color-schockness, you know But all integrated skins works nicely on dual screen.
The trick is to cut the screen between two tag-columns. Too bad the new "#"-column in the playlists is snapping in and displacing the columns... I also start to the right with artist and title column on the left screen, and start with filename on the second screen to "remind" me what line belongs to what tag, because you can easily click on the wrong track when the horisontal line are that long. If you not understand what I'm trying to say, look at this print screen of my setup.

Re: Things I like about 3.1
oh i know what you mean about that long line i tried in the trucking monkey skin and a few others to make the line selection image cover about 50,000 pixels i think it was that some i only did 12,000 pixels cause i thought the skins could always stretch that far to the right across the screens. some of them i made tile the images that far too. but i forget with so many skins which ones i did that too.? most likely they were the first skins i did.
oh i took it easy on the color for a few skins. ones all jade green. three are mostly blue. a few are mostly black
but the rest have color. got to spice up things you know, why i even put red hot pepper in my mashed potatos with garlic and onions.

Re: Things I like about 3.1
Yeah, I know what you mean about spicing it up. In good old days, when I used Winamp, I used many "exotic" skins
But now, with MediaMonkey, I like it more serious and minimalistic, and I think the standard skin fits well into my needs!

Re: Things I like about 3.1
I can confirm that the latest tester build of 3.1, with the Amazon fix, is working great. In fact, it's working much better than it did before - previously I'd have hanging on Tagging, and it took a while for it to find the info from Amazon - both these things have been improved in as much as it no longer hangs and the info appeared practically instantly.
Great job guys, keep it up!
