Let's be honest, the beta version of this was available months again and the final has been out for nearly a month now. So you guys have had at least 4 months to repair for the release.
yes, exactly. BETA VERSIONS. these are NOT the final versions! I used the beta versions 1 through to 5 (GM) and stuff changed on each one (as you'd expect!) - why should the MM team waste time getting MM to work with beta 1 only for it to be broken again on beta 2 etc? you DON'T do hacks like this on beta software, only once the final version is released.
iOS4 was released to public on 21st june, 3 weeks and 1 day ago - they certainly haven't had 4 months as you suggest! 'Rusty' has stated that they have MM syncing with iPhone 3G on iOS4 - this was a few days ago. so if 2 1/2 weeks is too slow for you then feel free to reverse engineer apple's iOS4 software yourself and pass the work onto the dev's.

it has been. if you look in the bug list the iOS4 issue is marked as 'critical'. there are other critical issues too, but as they don't affect you directly i guess they're not as critical are they... (that was sarcasm by the way).

The same thing happened the last time there was a major update, we had to wait ages before we could use MM again with the iphone.
ok, so, from experience didn't you once think "actually, as i rely on MM so much to sync my iphone/ipod i'm gonna hold back updating to iOS4 until the dev's have got it sorted"? cos I did. and i weighed it up: do i want the new features that iOS4 offers? or do I want ot be able to sync my music? for me it was easy - new features. i hardly use my iphones for music anyway as i have an 80gb 5th gen ipod video that takes care of the music side of things. my iphones are for phoning, texting, emailing and apps - music is an added bonus for if i forget a cd for the car, or can't be bothered taking my ipod AND iphone on the walk to the pub...

can't you see that they are? they are working hard on this issue which, if you think about it, they probably don't need to. you see us iphone owners that use MM for syncing are probably a minority in terms of total MM users - so why should they do this just for you and me?
