How Many Songs Can MediaMonkey Hold?

Hi - I have over 250,000 MP3 songs on my hard drive and was wondering if the program will go to infinity on the amount of songs it can take? I have
them saved by Artist, the album name and the included songs on each album. Will it be able to gather this information so that I would be able to
search for the songs by any criteria I want? Your response will be appreciated. Ron Wix

Officially a 100,000 are supported, but many have reported no issues using more. And yes if you tagged your songs, MediaMonkey will read it and allow searching for it.

the songs when added in to mediamonkey are placed in his database.
he will need correct tags as lowlander said.
because monkey will use the info in the tags to manage / organize your library folder/s.

he uses the info in the database to search through the library so he is faster then all others and can handle un heard of amounts of songs which others only dream they can handle.

but in doing this his database file gets huge. so make sure you have enough space for song storage and the ever growing database file, well it stops when you stop adding songs in to it. so it is not forever growing.

I read a post somewhere in the last couple of days where this guy has over 400,000 songs that he is managing with MM. All I can say is WOW.

I'm at 391'325, and yes, it still works flawlessly. Try that with itunes.
