I purchased MM Gold even though I didn't need it

Post by m3110w »

This message is for the developers of MM.

Hi,

My large music collection was in dire need of proper organization and I wanted to easily sync it to an external flash drive. After trying a bunch of different music organizer programs I came across the free version of MM. Wow! It did everything I needed in a beautifully elegant way. Fantastic software. Amazingly well designed user interface. I *especially* like how easy it was to use MM to sync my large music collection to a micro SDHC flash drive that I use as my mobile portable music source when I'm out and about.

For my purposes I don't need any of the features of MM Gold, but I went ahead and purchased it because the MM Free Version is so fantastic. Thanks for developing such a terrific music organizer! My hat is off to all the MM developers and I'm happy to support your work. Cheers and Kind Regards,

You're welcome. Keep up the great work.

Now that I think about it, I will probably end up using the extra features in MM Gold. Will be great to do some volume leveling on some of my files. And I'm sure as I dig into it more some of the other premium features will come in handy.

Cheers!

Note that it is recommended to use Analyze Volume instead (unless you really need the files leveled).

I did that too. Great product. I have a huge collection of CDs ripped into various formats over the last 20 years or so, and MM is the software that finally allowed me to manage them all properly.

Add me to the list of "probably won't need it but..." registered users. I've used the freebie for a while for cataloging my rips and, while all of the scripting intricacies and deeper details of MM are still beyond me at this point, the cataloging, playlists and other more basic features were just what I needed.

I just did another build recently and while transferring some softwares over to the new machine, decided to go with the Gold+ registration - mainly to support the project. Great stuff! Kudos and thanks to the developers (and to the scripters and skinners)!

Hi

This is my first post on the forums, I was thinking about making a thread similar to this before I found it...no point in making another one. I completely second m3110w, I also didn't need to buy gold, after using MediaMonkey for about a week though I have, some of the additional functionality I will use in time. I have very few CDs, infact my music collection isn't huge BUT my complete hatred of iTunes made me want to switch...swiftly.

It doesn't matter why I hate iTunes; what matters is MediaMonkey is it's perfect counterpart. I plan on building my music collection now, spurred on by how awesome the developers have caught the music lovers need for uncluttered software, diverse codec selection and brilliant library design.

Now this next one believe me is true praise; my Mum hates me changing any software on the computer, yet she switched from using iTunes to MediaMonkey just 10 minutes after using it. This came as a shock to me, really, not because I thought she'd hate it, it's just she hates change and whilst you aimed it at serious collectors using this feels natural to her....literally I've not had to tell her how to use it at all.

Anyway, without making this post long and boring; You're doing a beast of a job, keep it up. You got my money, spend it on beer, beer is good.

THX SpacedSkunk,
;) to be honest I'm more thinking to make one fresh Orange Juice for my daughter out of my % of your money.

I always tell that MMW was and is app that we at dev team use daily, can't tell for all but majority of us had same issue and thus we are primarily users that constantly complain on some features and try to make thing as naturally(not simpler) as possible (guess your Mum recognized that).

Any Feedback/support drive us forward to constant improvement.

EDIT: Even bad feedback is good feedback, we are not perfect. Well my daughter is [for me].
Best regards,

My only bad feedback is you don't have a forum board dedicated to music. :)

Yes, that would be nice. A section with various genre. Great way to learn new bits

Definitely, plus a very relevant one considering the nature of MediaMonkey. I'm sure we can all can share awareness of more artists, build our collections!
