[1494] Selecting multiple albums through CTRL is broken
Hey,
when browsing your collection in cover view mode, selecting multiple albums with CTRL is broken. Beside the albums clicked other ones will be also selected that haven't clicked before.

Unable to reproduce above, but perhaps misunderstand what is being said. Did notice that in details view when you select multiple tracks using CTRL+SHIFT the behaviour is not quite right though.
Easiest way to explain is to demonstrate......
- Click on Song 1 (song 1 is selected)
- Hold down both CTRL and SHIFT and click on Song 5 (songs 2-5 are selected)
Songs 1-5 should have been selected i.e. the same result as if you had just held down SHIFT (which does work correctly in MM)
Note CTRL + SHIFT simultaneously perform the functionality of the CTRL and SHIFT keys, so perhaps the following is a slightly more meaning full example because it demonstrates usual usage:
- Click on Song 1 (song 1 is selected)
- Hold down SHIFT and click on Song 5 (songs 1-5 are selected)
- Hold down CTRL and click on Song 8 (songs 1-5 and 8 are selected)
- Hold down both CTRL and SHIFT and click on Song 14 (songs 1-5 and 9-14 are selected)
In Windows Explorer the result at step 4 is that songs 1-5 and 8-14 are selected.
Not a biggy, just something to look at if in this area.

+1 for getting this on the wishlist for next build (although I see it's scheduled for the next point release). It can be pretty important when you select multiple tracks a lot.

4.0.6 is to be released imminently, so it'll be included in 4.1 to avoid new regressions.
Note, though, that 4.1 builds will start being posted within a few weeks.

I never knew about that Ctrl+Shift+click action. Nifty.

Hi Rusty,
Thanks,

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but build 4.1.0.1625 still is affected. This is the latest 4.1 Beta, right ?rusty wrote:4.0.6 is to be released imminently, so it'll be included in 4.1 to avoid new regressions.

[1494] not fixed, but [10839] is ?
Weird, I see that almost-the-same issue 10839 was categorized as 'URGENT' and has been fixed in build 1637. This issue which is much more general not yet. See http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10839
MM devs, could you please incorporate this URGENT bug as well ? I use the multi-select feature all the time, and since it's broken it's difficult to use.
Thanks,
charlieMOGUL
