Are you using MediaMonkey for Windows 4 or MediaMonkey for Metro? What file type(s) fail to play and what happens when you try to play a track fails to play?

The license cannot be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.

To download a license, you must install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.

To install the latest version of Internet Explorer, see the Windows Update page.
this is the message i get I am running the latest version of windows 8

Sounds like the files may have DRM protection. What file type (and where were the files downloaded)?

Where they ripped using Windows Media Player and are you sure they're MP3 (as MP3 should not have DRM)? The fact that it mentions that the license can't be downloaded points to DRM.
