background program wiredness

background program wiredness

i have something running in background every hour or so and it interferes with audio, i know what exe is showing in process manager and that is waupdt and it is started by an svo.. but that svo, starts dozens of programs, i want to know which one is starting the svo,, so i can turn it off, the app is starting even when off line and trying to update, 3 anti spyware programs 2 antivirus programs and one online scan can not find any malware, i have xp pro sp3 system.

It's been a while, but isn't waupdt Windows Automatic Update? If so, it's kinda useless to have running on an XP machine...

Yep it is off and this other program keeps turning it on.

its on 2 of my xp systems now so it is one of the ms updates that is causing this error with the auto update being turned on. my offline jukebox does not have this issue. or the dell which is not online now for several ? almost a year, since i updated it.

but this main system and the back up one for online use both have this issue now.
