Synchronization very slow

Post by brightshadowsky »

I'm having the same problem. My sync is so slow that it never gets through the whole list and my ipod usually resets itself. The music shows up if i look for it on my device through MediaMonkey, but NOT on the device itself.

I've reset the ipod touch.
i've totally wiped and restored the ipod touch.
i've reinstalled MM.
i've reinstalled Itunes
i've obliterated every trace of anything apple related, uninstalled MM, installed the itunes drivers i needed and reinstalled MM.

NONE of this helps. For months i've not been able to fully sync my ipod, and it's driving me crazy!

Are there programs that could be mucking with MM? (Glary, Bitdefender) Are their apps that could be doing this? Augh!

Windows 7, ios 7.

I am having the same issues with multiple phones an multiple iOS versions (my daughter refuses to move from 8.2 while mine is 8.4.1 and my son is on 8.3). I have also had the problem under iOS 7 and 6. This problem has occurred under multiple versions of MediaMonkey and iTunes as well. It seems to come and go on it's own.

Currently I have MediaMonkey version 4.1.8.1751 and iTunes 12.2.1.16

I'm experiencing the same issue, but it just started when I upgraded to Windows 10. I see it on both IOS and standard USB devices. MM used to be a great all around application for keeping my various libraries in sync, but it has become very painful to use.

Not that I'm aware of (however that doesn't mean there isn't). Slowness may come from auto-conversion.

Release Candidate 4.1.9.1757 is marginally faster, but still slower than what would be considered normal.

Feel free to capture a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support if you feel things aren't as they supposed to be: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... f=12&t=341

I've never been able to use MM since upgrading to ios 8 (.3)
and sadly build 1757 shows no improvements at all: slow as hell, sometimes not coping all the songs, sometimes not reading the iphone db, messing the db and so on :(

Ever send in a debug log capturing the troubles? It helps the developers a lot with fixing issues.

Will do... the second sync (without exiting the program) went much faster. Odd.
