Syncing Pixel

Syncing Pixel
I can't get my Pixel to sync. I have the USB plugged in, the the appropriate device plug in appears to be installed (d_WMDM.dll).
Re: Syncing Pixel
Hi,
And do you see it in MMW tree? Have you installed USB drivers (Just in case)? How it is represented in My computer?

Re: Syncing Pixel
How can't you sync? It should sync as any other Android device: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... oid_device

Re: Syncing Pixel
I had a similar issue. The Pixel normally is set to charge usb only. Try the steps in this website. It worked for me. http://www.teamandroid.com/2016/10/20/g ... -download/
Re: Syncing Pixel
I'm having the same issue with my new Pixel 2. When plugged in to my Surface Pro via USB (Win 10 pro), MM doesn't recognize it. I can sync over wifi at work, but not on my home network. MMW 4.1.19.1859 and MMA 1.3.1.0751. At home, the phone won't see the Windows server at all, but at work it syncs perfectly. Both phone and computer are connected to the same band of wifi and the network is set to private with MM allowed through Windows firewall. For what it's worth, it worked perfectly on my old phone (HTC M8)
Re: Syncing Pixel
Start with updating to MediaMonkey 4.1.20. Are the work and home the same PC or different ones? If the same, it's likely the router.

Re: Syncing Pixel
Ok, I updated MM - had to go to the website, as "check for updates" did not provide any updates. I then changed the server ip to mine, instead of "automatic" and changed the port to 5000 in MM. Then I had to change the Windows advanced firewall settings to ensure TCP over 5000 was allowed. Kind of a pain, but better than going to work to update my library.
Basically followed this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... lna-server
Thanks!

Re: Syncing Pixel
This worked for a couple of syncs, but now I'm having the same problem, and it's also occurring on my work network too. Sometimes it's a complete "sync failed" sometimes I get "Since this is your first time syncing, it may take a while..." followed by "connection refused by server" sometimes it connects, updates metadata, then "sync incomplete" before downloading anything new or updating playlists? Nothing is consistent, other than not getting a complete sync from beginning to end. Any ideas?
Re: Syncing Pixel
Make sure you're on the latest beta of both MMA and MMW.

Re: Syncing Pixel
I've updated both and restarted both systems. I have MMA 1.3.1.0751 on Pixel2 and MMW 4.1.20.184. I can't even get my phone to show up in MMW when it's plugged into the computer, so I can't sync that way either. The phone will see the server - it shows up in "select sync server," but only intermittently syncs and never completely.
Re: Syncing Pixel
Neither is the latest Beta.
I also recommend restarting PC, phone and network equipment. That can sometimes resolve issues (it isn't always MediaMonkey related).
