Deleting Artists [#14506]

Post by metalewd »

For a long time I could only delete anything by selecting individual tracks. Since a recent update I can now delete by album. Do you think I will be able to delete by artist or in any other way at some stage? Thanks.

Can you please elaborate teh steps you want archive in order to delete tracks By artist?

I for example select artist Tree Node and then Right click -> Remove where I get Dialog to delete from library and/or from Library and Computer.

Pavle, is your answer about MMW? I think the question is about MMA.

In fact it is possible to delete by artist in MMA. I press long on the artist and then all songs from him/her are selected. By pressing on the dustbin the songs are deleted (or at least should be, I haven´t tried it!). You can even select multiple artists.

Yes I am talking about MMA.
No I absolutely cannot do that. Been the same for me through different phones, different updates...

artists and album artists > dream theater hold (9 albums worth) > trash bin > confirm deletion - delete 99 tracks from device? > delete > EPIC FAIL

Recent update has enabled me to delete by single album as opposed to track by track which was the only way I could delete for a very long time.

If I delete from the ARTIST node it deletes ONE track from one album.
If I delete from ARTIST and ALBUM ARTIST it deletes nothing.
