[SOLVED] MM stops during playback
Hi guys,
After many faithful & happy years of service, MMA has started playing up on me. When listening through headphones the track will all of a sudden stop. It usually happens the first track I listen to near the middle/end. I usually skip to the part of the song I was listening to and continue but it stops half way through the next track as well.
It seems random as well as it can do it for 5 or 6 tracks in a row but then sometimes only the first couple. After it has stopped a few times it seems to work OK but is frustrating getting to that point.
I have reinstalled MMA and searched the forum but cannot find an answer.
Please help!

Re: MM stops during playback
Are you using a Huawei phone? Huawei aggressively kills background processes for any apps other than its own, including media players that are actively playing music.

Re: MM stops during playback
If not, are they Bluetooth or wired headphones and which version of MMA?

Re: MM stops during playback
When it was in the news I think I read an article that said Huawei was working on a system update that would hopefully fix the issue. I don't know how fast or reliable they are for updates though, and there's no guarantee that every Huawei phone would be updated.
Re: MM stops during playback
I have an Oppo F1s and have not had any upsets until this problem started a few weeks back. The headphones are wired.
Thanks for your replies.

Re: MM stops during playback
Could it be that the headphones become disconnected temporarily with movement?

Re: MM stops during playback
The jack is pretty secure and doesn't come out easily. It happens when I have a wired connect in the car. Also the track seems to reset to the start.
Re: MM stops during playback
Send a debug log (from About) right after you experience this and reply here with the log ID.

Re: MM stops during playback
Unfortunately, it seems that MMA was killed by the system.
Have you any idea what can cause it?
Maybe something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0Cguc9Uun0
You can try to allow MMA if it's disabled.

SOLUTION regarding Huawei Mate 9 Pro (and maybe others)
I have been in contact with Huawei Consumer support here in DK, and their solution is related to power saving.
Anyway here's the solution that made it work for me:
Go to your phones 'settings' > 'battery' > 'settings' (upper right corner) > disable 'power-intensive prompt' > > go back to the prior page, and select 'launch' > 'disable 'manage all automatically' - now it works, and my MediaMonkey has now played flawless for more than an hour, and suddenly I became glad for my phone again

MMA stops playing
MMA stops playing after 3 minutes. App shuts down. Device is laying flat on my desk. Android 8, Huawei p10 lite

See above, this is a Huawei "feature".
