Hi All,
I've just downloaded my first ever Hi res 192/24bit flac album and tried to listen via my Onkyo CR-N755 streamer using MM as my server.
I use MM to listen to regular cd quality flac files without a problem but my hi-res album sounds awful: all the balances are wrong as if I'm only listening to one channel through both speakers. If I listen to the album directly from MM into headphones plugged in to my PC it sounds fine. If I listen to it directly into my Onkyo via a USB drive, it also sounds fine. I assume then that it is something to do with streaming. (the Onkyo spec says that it can handle hi res streaming BTW)
Has anybody any ideas?
Also, what uPNP / DNLA settings should I use in general to ensure maximum sound quality at all bit rates?
Thanks in advance
DW

It may be converting to the client. This depends on your Auto-Conversion settings for the Media Server.

Hi,
That seems to have been the problem - thanks for that.
I've disabled all the conversion scripts and it works fine.
Thanks again
