MediaMonkey 5.0.0.2123 alpha

Post by rusty »

Hi,

Here's a new build which includes over 50 improvements & fixes. Details appear in the Changelog.

Test Notes:
  • -This is pre-release software and contains a variety of changes that have not been thoroughly tested. The software is being provided for feedback/testing and development purposes -- please backup your files to protect against data loss.
    - The Alpha installation is a Portable install. When you install version 5, a new DB will be created, and your old one preserved for use with MediaMonkey 4. If you make changes in one DB, they will not be reflected in the other.
    - If you have a MediaMonkey 3/4 Gold license, Gold functionality will be active until MediaMonkey 5 licenses are made available for sale.
    - Scripts / Addons from MediaMonkey 4 will not be compatible.
    - If you observe strange UI behavior on first run, try deleting the file persistent.json from the /MediaMonkey 5/Portable directory -- and PLEASE report the issue
Download Installation:
  • Double-click the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions:
-When prompted for an install directory, choose a new directory such as /Temp/Portable Apps/MediaMonkey 5/ so as to preserve your existing MediaMonkey installation.
  • The codec pack can be installed from within MediaMonkey via Tools > Extensions . Note that it is only compatible with MediaMonkey 5
Looking forward to your feedback!
