MM5 video player issues [#15568]

1. I have installed both of MM4 and MM5 on my Laptop. But I"m not able to play a video by MM5 from context menu. It always tries to launch MM4. The only way I can play a video in MM5 is from File/Open URL or File...

2. When I play the following video, there is a problem with seek bar. Suppose it is playing on point A, when I click on point B, the cursor goes back to point A, then it comes back to point B and plays from that where.

Hi,
1. It is normal behavior as MM4 is registered for playback. You need to manually change Default programs and prevent MM4 to re associate.

2. Seek response usually depends on Codec response, some codecs report start playback at 0 before it jumps to selected position.

But it seems that MM4 is reassociated automatically, even if I choose MM5 .exe as default program.

It means other programs use a different codec that there is not such a behavior when playing the video by them?

Yes, some even have own codecs.

Creating Debug Log and attach it to Support Ticket should help.
