Ah ok, I thought that ActiveSync might be causing problems. Will have to check if I have the latest version to try and get this to work.

I never noticed this before because I have ActiveSync load on Startup but I load MM manually.
Verified with MM 2.5.5, ActiveSync 4.5, and a Cingular 8525 WM5 device. If you have MediaMonkey running before you plug in your device, the Device and "Storage Card" don't seem to show up. I can't wait to try this with Bluetooth when I get my dongle installed in a week or so. ActiveSync supposedly doesn't let you sync media by Bluetooth.

EDIT: NEVERMIND--DOES NOT WORK. It sees the Device and the Storage Card, but it won't show the file heirarchy on the Storage Card. I thought I found the problem--needed to add "\Storage Card" in front of the file name during the synch--but no go. The process zips across the screen like it is copying files to the device but it doesn't do anything.

Synch to secondary storage card

Post by rusty »

Yes, this is a bug with the wmdm plugin in MM 2.5.5. It's on our todo list.

Good to hear that Pocket-PCs are being taken seriously. I am a big fan and user of them for many years and am looking forward to seeing how MM can work with them.

Pocket-PCs have so much extra functionality than iPods and the like, although big hard disks haven't appeared yet . . .

There are models that are phones too (I have an ASUS p525), others that include GPS and navigation software, etc, etc. The HP iPaq range seems to be the most actively produced PPC (formally Compaq iPaq). They all use Microsoft's Mobile Windows operating system and Outlook personal data system. The majority have touchscreens (some low end phone versions have reduced functionality - and no touchscreen).

Im having the same problem described by Turis, that is MM3 is seeing the storage card but when I press sync the process flashes briefly but nothing is copied accross. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this yet. I think it used to work. I would love it if this could work.
