MM3A5: Hotkey (Find more from same artist) [F3728]

I am playing with my first hotkey today and have a question. I created a new hotkey, "Edit: Find more from same artist" (CTL-M) and when I CTL-M it finds more from the *now playing* artist. Is there a way I can have it find more from the *selected* artist?

Also, the hotkey bahaves differently from the local menu selection of "Edit/Find more from same artist." The local menu selection takes me to the artist node for the artist in question while the hotkey takes me to the search node with (Artist contains "XXX"). Do I have a choice of which behavior the hotkey will implement?

The hotkey should work in the same manner as the normal function. The fact that it doesn't at the moment is a bug

It's on our todo list.

I can't make a macro that will "Find more from same artist" in MM3A6. Perhaps it's disabled in A6?

Hi Jiri:

Under Tools/Options/General/Hotkeys

Action: is "Edit: Find more from same Artist"
Hotkey: is "Ctrl+M"
Global: is checked (This is the only one checked)
Script: is empty.
Function: is empty.

Pressing Ctrl+M doesn't do anything in MM3B2.

It looks to me like none of the the hotkeys for "Edit: Find more from same <whatever>" work. I can get others to work, but not any of the "Edit: Find more" ones.

Sorry Jiri, I just can't figure this one out. It hasn't worked for me since way back in the alphas. And it's only the "Find More From" ones.

A followup...

Beta 3 is getting closer. The hotkey to find more from same artist works now in that I see the songs in the grid view. However, the bug where the tree view doesn't scroll so that the selected branch is visible comes into effect now. That's a well known bug and I expect that the next beta will fix this issue.

One more followup...

The hotkey works when I'm hilghting a song in the grid view, but it doesn't work when I'm hilighting a song in the now playing list.

Still broken in B4 in that it doesn't work from the now playing list.
