For most users there would be no need to edit outside of MediaMonkey, it just adds a layer of unnecessary complexity. Some will need to use other taggers for unsupported apps or specific tools they provide, but a lot of the tagging can be done in MediaMonkey, like correcting the Artist tag in the OP case.

I was talking about using DBPowerAMP's add-ons to Windows Explorer. I thought that was different than using Explorer alone to edit tags, etc.
Yes, that's different. You get that menu when you install dBpoweramp.

I am asking a lot of questions. I know. "PMEDIA"'s uploads add a bunch of tags to the "usual" tags. So, they include "ARTIST" in all caps in addition to the Artist tag [for example]. Also, "ALBUM ARTIST" and many more.
How does MM5 deal with these if you don't do any processing outside of MM5 first?

That would depend on the file type(s) you're working with. A bit more on tags in MediaMonkey:

That's where Mp3tag can reveal a lot of otherwise hidden tags. HDtracks and Qobuz tracks can have different tags depending on the album. There isn't really a tagging standard. You have to create your own standard so tracks are uniform across your music library.
By the way. I don't think PMEDIA is legal.
