So my MMW is casting to the Sonos speakers through DLNA while my MMA cannot...? What I can say is that streaming apps/services (Tidal, Spotify, etc) have to be registered in the Sonos app before they can cast directly to the speakers, so maybe Sonos is not fully DLNA compliant with Android devices...?

I can't stream from MMA to SONOS but can from the desktop app. I can stream quite easily with BubblePnP and Google Music and of course the Sonos App but MMA just doesn't see it as a target. Here is the content of my XML

This thread indicates that this issue of MMA being unable to stream to a Sonos device has been solved, but I respectfully disagree. This is still an issue for me. MMA is not able to stream/cast to my Sonos Play:1 device. Other Android apps can, like Spotify, BubbleUpnp, Pandora, and of course the Sonos app, but MMA won't. That makes me doubt the suggestion above that my wifi router could somehow be the problem. I can work around this by using BubbleUpnp, but that app is a battery killer and that solution feels like a kludge to me. I would really like to be able to cast from MMA to the Sonos. Please help!

I can repro this still. Same deal, other apps on my Android phone can cast to Sonos, MMA cannot. Haven't tried from Windows machine but irrelevant so I won't bother. MMA to Sonos is the desired UX.

Presume this is still an issue or is there a resolution to this?
MMA is brilliant in that it streams to all of my google home devices and google mini, the xbox, but my sonos just doesn't show in the list of available devices. BubbleUpnp can stream to it but it seems daft to have different apps that stream to different devices. Kind of defeats the object of UPnP?

You should send few logs from About MediaMonkey Window and LOG IDs here just before sending.

Test Note: try to play some tracks to other devices so that we can also get baseline that UPnP works.

MMA cannot see the Sonos Speaker\s. Sonos wants you to use their app and their app does not support MM. :evil: :evil: I can see my MM on my W10 PC and then open a Playlist in the Sonos app but it wants everysong to be added to the their app. That would require 3 taps per song. That wont work. I believe unless Sonos gets with MM engineers this is a lost cause. I love MM keeping my play stats and managing my music. I need a solution for better speakers than just my PC. (Currently I run a cable to my stereo but even those speakers are not as nice sounding.) OR I can us MMA to a bluethooth speaker or receiver but that ruins the music.

This is still an issue. I can cast to google home hub, google home mini, chromecast but my Sonos device is not on the list of devices. I can use MMW to play to this device - both MM4 and MM5 so why can't MMA see it? BubbleUpnp can see it, the sonos app can see it, spotify can see it so it's not a router thing.
I see you have closed the ticket off - this issue is certainly NOT resolved.
I am sending a debug log via MMA but I have no idea if it will help - the ID is CEKLJR6R23

For years now Sonos decline to make support for Chromecast ( https://en.community.sonos.com/google-a ... ty-6825890 )and looks like only several apps that likely support Airplay will work.

I'm asking the same question. I'm trying out a Sonos system for the first time to see if it will replace my legacy amp/speakers that are connected to Yamaha Musiccast WXAD-10 DLNA/UPNP receivers/Chromecasts/Apple TVs etc.

When I use the "cast" icon on MM5 it shows me all my possible receivers/players: *(but obviously not Apple TV)
Internal / DAC / Chromecast Audio / Chromecast HD / Google Cast Group / Yamaha WXAD-10 / Nvidia Shield and my new Sonos set up (Arc+Sub+Rear Surrounds) . MM5 "casts" to all these devices no problem.

On MMA when I use the "cast" icon I see all the above plus mediamonkey player, but not the Sonos??

Is there a reason for this?

All devices are on the same network (both 2.4 and 5ghz are part of the same SSID), W10/MM5 laptop is wired to the Network, as is the Sonos Arc and the Nvidia Shield. The WXAD-10s and Chromecasts are on WiFi.

Hi,
Most likely the problem is SSID AP isolation on your router settings taht blocks multicast DNLA packets to reach Sonos.

Simply said, Those two WiFi devices communications are blocked. Yamaha and Chromecasts uses different packets so they are passing thru filters.
