Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
It seems like my issue is different.
I ran DebugView, but while syncing, it would not really get an error. It looks like it is trying to access the SD card, but cannot, so it throws insufficient space error. While music is copying, it shows the MTP Application screen on the phone and shows synchronizing, but when it throws the insufficient space error, I notice that the screen is no longer there. Will try to run this again.
I also tried running on another computer and I am getting the same error.
I ran SD Card Tester app with no issues.
EDIT: I just tried copying a large file to the SD card, and I got a message saying that it stopped responding. Maybe it is an issue with the card.
EDIT2: So I took out my SD card and put it in the adapter and plugged strait into my laptop. I was able to sync this way. Seems like maybe there is an issue with my phone? Has anyone else experienced this?

Make sure you remove the Device Profiles when upgrading to 4.0.7. If after this you still have this issue send a debug log (step 4b) to support capturing it: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=12&t=69

I did not perform an upgrade.
At this point I believe the issue is related to MTP. Not sure why I was not experiencing issues on my 8gb though.
Will perform some more tests and let you know.
EDIT: Sometimes, MM will also hang, and when that happens, this what the debug log is filled with
EDIT2: I am trying FTP+NetDisk to map my sd card wirelessly, and then syncing in MM. If this works, then I can confirm that there is an issue with MTP. Probably compatibility or transfer rate. I have also ordered a SanDisk 32GB, and will see if that makes a difference, and return one once I get more results.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
Well after mounting the SD card as a network drive and syncing, I no longer get the insufficient space issue, but I noticed that not all the files were transferred even though they were listed in MM.
Though they were listed, they would not play, and I would need to delete and resync for them to play.
In any case, syncing music to the phone should be nowhere this hard. I will wait for my 32Gb Sandisk to arrive and see if that resolves the issue (I am currently using 32GB GSkill)
Also, I am syncing strait to the phone memory right now, and it doesn't seem like there are any issues, so it looks like the issue lies with MTP+32GB GSkill SD.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
Just wantd to chime in here and say this works for the Note 2 also. Upgraded to the latest version and deleted the profiles and it worked flawlessly after that.
Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
Just wanted to give an update. Got the Sandisk 32GB and I am able to sync now. I'm sticking with Sandisk in the future.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
Hi,
I am using MM 4.0.7.1511, from looking at the site, this is the current release.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. (Love the phone)
So, I have created a playlist called Samsung.
I have as 64gb Scan micro card installed.
In MM, it shows the Scan card as "Samsung-SGH-1317-Card". Good so far. I then tell the card where to look for synchronizing. Then I apply and tell it to sync. All looks good, I see the bar at the bottom of MM showing it is synchronizing about 1500 songs. It takes like forever, about three hours, then I get the following:
Ops, lost the message, (sorry I do not want to run the sync again) it said something like, it could not sync a bunch of song (sorry I do not remember how many), about half, so about 750. Why? I am not tech enough to understand why and hope someone here is and maybe able to help me out with this, I would love to have my music on my phone.

Howdy kneedeep is that taken fron Q's song (Kneedeep in love)?
As for your issue i'm just guessing but it might be something in your version of mediamonkey,
They are working on new version that supports sync'ing with mma.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
I'd suggest trying with the beta of MediaMonkey 4.1, but note that it is a beta: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 47#p352847 If you decide to upgrade to 4.1 it is recommended to remove the Device Profiles for the device under Tools > Options > Portable/Audio Devices (I'd do the same if you're sticking with 4.0.7).
If you're sticking with 4.0.7 you may want to disable Playlist syncing in the Device Profile. There are several reports of exactly this affecting Samsung devices and this seems to also occur when WMP is used for sync.

I'm having that "there was a problem syncing the following items" problem. I'm using 4.07. It was working pretty good with ICS but since updating to jelly bean I can only do an initial sync. Songs I try to add later on always fail. I deleted my phone's profile, no difference. Also tried unchecking playlists.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 sync
The saga continues...
I upgraded to the latest Beta 4.1.0.1610, and also upgraded the phone to Android 4.1.1
The fist synch works fine, i transfers all my files.
Then on the second synch, even though it correctly identifies my phone as well as the SD card, it does not recognize the prior synch at all and tries to move the entire library again.
I tried this a couple of times always the same result.
Already submitted the debug log and have an outstanding ticket with the devs.
This leads to one larger request.
A way to tell MMW that a certain device/drive etc. has been synched prior.
For example.
I synch to a sd card that is directly inserted into my PC, then take that SD card to my phone, and reconnect.
MMW identifies this as a new device and wants to synch the entire library.
I would like to have a way to force it to actually identify differences and only synch missing songs (unidirectional to the phone).
Or even easier, just force it to assume the two devices are synched and only transfer subsequent changes.
Hope I am making sense.
