Thank you for that, just fantastic :)

Basically, only the albums that are currently in the main tracks window will appear in MonkeyFlow. Is this what you had in mind?
Yes yes yes please :D Although to do this you should probably change the current behaviour, where clicking on an album removes all other albums in the main window, to simply jumping to the first track. It would also be cool if we could alter the size, position, etc.. of the albums in the view, don't know how feasible this would be though.

Exactly what I had in mind ! So that when you select a subset via node (e.g. a specific artist, genre or year, etc) then only the albums corresponding to that node/subset appear in coverflow. Can this be implemented?
Thanks! ps when will the next version be released? :)

I very much appreciate monkeyflow extracting to the same folder ...... makes it Comodo friendly

This add on is really coming along ..... really great work

The only issue I have left is that Monkeyflow doesn't allow MM to close the COM interface when I logoff, shutdown or restart with MM open (paused) and monkeyflow enabled.

Gives a COM error and asks if I want to terminate.

A few other scripts also had this issue and it is mostly a cosmetic issue but it may bother/ confuse those that don't know monkeyflow isn't registering a shutdown event and closing it's COM before Windows fusses about it.

One request for the next version to add to the previous requests of jewel CD case and ability to display only selected node;

To incorporate other album art (such as the rear art, booklet or CD). I would suggest having small buttons somewhere around the selection bar, which when pressed, show the corresponding artwork.

MonkeyFlow, uh?
YOU! You... You should have let me know...
You owe royalties to me for the name, too.
Well, I don't know if you took the idea from my wish but...
thank you.
I've been waiting and looking for this script since...since...well, since I began that topic. And now I find it by chance...
You can imagine (or maybe you can't) the mass of tips I had and I could not give, cause there was no MonkeyFlow to give tips about...
But finally somebody made it. Good, good.
Now...
the prologue is done and we can talk about things you could fix in this script.
First of all, I think that every respectable embedded script in MM should let me hide its title bar... Apart from this, you should make the characters and the seekbar resizable like the artworks are, because at this time resizing the window will mess it up a little. A volume bar would be also convenient, and you should add a comfortable stop button in the full screen view, because this is not Pineapple Inc. making iDontstopsongs...
Maybe changing the default iTunes 'no art' image with an edited MM logo could make these monkeys feel at home, too.

Oh thanks. One never stops learning...
P.S. mantis says it's fixed and already implemented, but I cannot right click on monkeyflow to hide the titlebar...

As you can see here...
raybeau528 wrote:I just tested this with .1209 and works as advertised, ie mydockablepanel.showcaption = false, removes the titlebar completely.
... it needs to be done programmaticaly by scripter.

And I can assure it works! I tested it yesterday with Lyrics Viewer, inserting something like mydockablepanel.showcaption=false directly in script's code.
But I'm not sure if it's possible to add a context menu in such panel's titlebars. And, assuming it is possible, what when user hides titlebar? Right-clicking in Lyrics Viewer itself will bring up IE conxtex menu :o
So, I'll have to add a new item in option sheet ("Show panel titlebar" or something like that).

Edit: OK, I'm going off-topic now, but it should also be possible to hide that damn border that appears only for embedded ActiveX objects (this would benefit LV, MonkeyRok, WebSearch Panels and others).

Well, MM3 Monkey 'told' me that this was to be implemented and now it is. You tell me that it's implemented but the scripter has to add something in the script. I was asking the scripter to add the hide option...so maybe I'm confused but I think we are saying the same thing :)
Anyway, I don't really mind the right-click menu (for this script at least). I mean, titlebars are not that good looking (in glided) so not showing them would be even more easy than thiding them via right-click menu.

Fraxav, I'm completely with you on your request to get rid of titlebars. I only posted those links to show all I knew about how far this had got so far.

Gege has helpfully clarified it - although I'm not sure you see his point? I.e. the problem is that even if you get the script-writer to add the new 'hide titlebar' option, you might not have a way to get it back.

I used to REALLY want to get rid of the titlebar in Embedded MiniLyrics. It was just so redundant and ugly. But I don't use it anymore so it's not a problem for me, but I would (will) still try to get it implemented in that script because many people must feel the same.

I understand that some people want always to have titlebars because they are a very intuitive way to open and close panels. But for me I am happy (much prefer) to learn the necessary shortcuts to open and close the panels if it means we can get rid of the (to me) ugly and redundant titlebars.

I don't ever have a titlebar for my album art window and it's a breeze to open and close it with Ctrl+Alt+A.

I don't know what all the issues are but Gege has set me off in the right direction, thanks. Maybe shortcut keys are the solution?

There is a problem when it comes to Embedded MiniLyrics: Steegy is no longer a user of this forum. He popped by recently but specifically said that he wasn't "back" but just came by for a look. He also specifically gave the go-ahead for anyone to take over another of his scripts but he's particularly sensitive about the ownership/respect issue so it should be treated tactfully and with great respect (after all, embedded MiniLyrics has been a stalwart of MM for a long time and Steegy deserves our great appreciation and respect and thanks). But hopefully someone could add this functionality to his script now that it is available and Steegy is not here (at least we don't know if or when he will be back).

Whilst writing this I've just realized that I'd like to lose the titlebar in Embedded Visualization too.

Now that this great functionality has finally been made possible I'm not sure how best to get it implemented; I'm simply not knowledgeable enough or clever enough.

Over to you, Gege and everyone else.

I could write more but this is already too long and this discussion will either take place in the thread I linked to above or in the individual scripts or in a new thread. Hopefully it will be a lively debate and we can get this sorted soonest. It really is clunky and nasty to have a bar above your panel stating the blatantly obvious. The titlebars' only purpose is the little cross to close the window. The bar itself and the text are worse than redundant.

Thanks to the devs for implementing this and good luck in helping to get it actually put into action, Fraxav.

Cool.

I'm happy to get out of this thread anyway; it makes me very jealous being in here - I can't use the wonderful MonkeyFlow until I get a new graphics card!
