I could live with that, then I could build a report based on my comments...

just out out of curiosity, would it be possible to add a character when a newline occurs? That way I could search & replace and add tabs myself or something...?

Hi,
great scripts

Had thought this one would give a just a list of albums, with no tracks.
Is there a way to hack it to do that please?
I just want to be able to print the list with artists, so i can put it on the coffee take, and browse
I am sure I have done it in the past, but cannot work out how!
Thx.

DRJ:
JLA also lists the tracks with the albums, but I just import the file into Excel and then delete all the tracks.

But I have 1000 albums
drjboulder
thanks but tried that, and still get the tracks... without the artist.
I did once get, a couple of years ago with MM2.5
Rolling Stones Aftermath
Sticky fingers
Etc just cannot recreate it!

Never
actually tried the script...
Just knew that Trix had one by that name. The name
implies that it "Just Lists Albums".

I was able to use the following settings to get just the artist and album, were you looking for something else?

Exactly as I did but it gave me songs as well. Wrote 16,000 lines

Yes, this script will always display the tracks as that's what it's designed for. However, my "Just List Albums" script can be made to not display the tracks (as it originally did) but editing the variables at the top of the script file. Here you can set the "Mask" and "CompMask" to be whatever you want to display for the album details and make the "TrackMask" blank if you don't want to see them.

Thank, appreciated :0
Will try that.
I remembered in the shower this morning how I did it last time, by just opening the database in Access, and getting it out of there

Forgot it was still in access.
Those plugins of yours are very neat.

You are a genius, how did I miss this little trick!!

thx. Worked.
I put in <blank>
which then output <blank> for each track,

(Obvious to you I bet!) that I deleted later.
So made a mess of hacking it, but it worked, thx again.

Rupert:
Don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing.
