[REQ] Discogs tagger

I'm not liking the auto tag function in MM5 at all. Please can we have something similar to Discogs Tagger?

First please make sure that you have a backup of everything - your files and the MMW database.
Then install both MMW4 and MMW5 and use DiscCogs tagger in MMW4 to update and then see the results in MMW5.
Try it with a few individual files / albums first to make sure it is doing what you want.
I recommend using the debug versions of both MMW4 and MMW5 and obviously installed in separate folders.
Hope this helps.

That is a Third Party Addon, you'll have to ask it's developer to update it for MediaMonkey 5.

@Shankfist
Addon "Show Links"
https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... how-links/
Here you can also select Discogs.
Right mouse button on highlighted song on the "down arrow"

I've installed the addon but, unless I'm being thick, I don't understand how it works.

When you select a song, arrows appear at "Title" and "Artist".

That's very helpful, thank you. MM5 needs a decent tagger but this certainly fills the gap in the interim.

Tag an album or single songs - then "Tools> Auto-tag" also works very well.

The poor accuracy of that function is my issue.

I second that, same issue I have with it.

Of course, this alternative is NOT a "Discogs-Tagger" where you can choose from different CD editions.
But you can motivate SVEN (crap_inhuman ), the inventor of the "Discogs-Tagger", to reprogram his addon for MM5.

I work on a version for MM5, but it won't be ready until next summer at the earliest.
Summer is not far away.

FYI: You can choose from different CD editions by clicking the album like this:

I need discogs add ons to add music like artist, title, album, year and artwork ( album photo) from discogs.
Why no Discogs tagging add-on for MM%?

I'm completely frustrated by using MM5 as I can't use the Discogs database... are there any plans for this? I may have to uninstall and go back to MM4...

MM4 i way better when tagging. MM5 tag (MusicBrain) i fine with CD RIP, but auto-tag messes tings up. I have turned autotag off but still when i try to autotag/lookup tags it suggest crazy tags.
Using MM4 till u get this fixed!
