I'm currently on MMW4 and have been for ages. I just got a new Win 11 Pro PC and switched my MMW4 install over to it. I'm Gold Lifetime. I'm investigating upgrading to MMW5. My specific question right now is this: Will MMW5 support the "Advanced mIRC Integration Plug-In" (AMIP) which comes from gen_irc.dll ? I use that to have MMW write out a specifically formatted text file of the playing song. It's an essential feature for me.
Thanks!

Re: AMIP plug-in question
Hi,
Unfortunately no. Because as of MM5 we are focused to bring MM to multiple platforms and that moving from Winamp plugins support. Starting with no support DSP/GEN/VIS winamp plugins.

Re: AMIP plug-in question
OK, thanks very much for the quick answer even though it's not what I hoped to hear. Is there any other option to achieve the same thing? I have AMIP output MP3 tag data, specifically Artist Name, Song Title, Year, Album Name, and Composer. I use scripting in the AMIP options box to format the text file exactly as I need it for display on my video stream using OBS. I've invested many thousands of hours in getting my MP3 tags properly populated (locally stored library).

Re: AMIP plug-in question
Hi,
This should be easy to make with scripting.
Maybe if you ask politely someone would be keen to make one. Or even better if you are familiar with jscript we can help you make one.

Re: AMIP plug-in question
@Peke,
Thank you so much. That is encouraging news. I can't devote time to it immediately, but this could be the motivation I need to learn jscript and how to apply it in this environment. I'll stick with MMW4 in the meantime if I can. I have one or two other issues with it which I will post separately if I can't resolve.
Thanks again!
