MM not displaying updated tags I have previously edited

Hi,
I would like to report another issue regarding tag editing. It seems that MM (sometimes) does not display tags of files properly which I have previously edited in the library view. I have been noticing this for a while now, also before build 3171. Sometimes when I select several items in the list and bulk-edit a tag like year or album artist via the properties dialog, not all items are updated. Sometimes the first or last selected item or sometimes even several items display a blank field in the library view. Editing the tags for those files manually one more time appears to fix it.
Today I noticed something really strange:
- I was editing the original year tag for individual files of a compilation album, partially via the properties dialog, partially directly in the library list. Everything seemed fine at first.
- When I was finished, I hit F5 to refresh the view and suddenly all original year tags for this album have vanished.
- I checked the ID tags for those files with dB Poweramp properties and it showed that the original year tag was actually present in all files, even though it was listed there two times e.g. "1987; 1987". I've seen these double entries in the year and original year tags before but I never really cared about it and deemed it a cosmetic problem. I don't know what causes it.
- I removed the album from the database and added it back by re-scanning the folder. I also rebuilt the whole database. Nothing helped.
- I edited the original year tag of Track 1 of the album via the MM library one more time. It now showed correctly in the library list, but it was now present in the ID tag three times. It seems that MM was ignoring the previous two entries and has added a third.
Please have a look at this screenshot and at the album "F.N.G." specifically. As I said, I edited the original year for track 1 manually afterwards, that's why it shows in the screenshot. To the right, you can see the dB Poweramp properties for track 1 (three original year entries) and track 2 (two original year entries). The remaining tracks of the album also have two entries in the original year tag.

I hope you can make something of it. Not sure if this is related to the other problems I have (shift-click selecting files expands to wrong, previously selected files; selection of files is lost in the library view; sporadic crashes) but I think it is worth reporting on its own. I feel like it is a rather critical problem when you can't rely on information being stored properly after you have edited it. It makes me quite paranoid.
