I have MM 3.1.0.1256 and an Ipod touch with the 3.0 firmware. I installed the beta d_iPhone.dll file as well (placed it in the /mediaMonkey/plugins folder). When I plug my ipod in nothing happens. MM doesnt recognize the device.
Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I dont have the proper MM build?
Thanks for any help
Greg

Is iTunes installed on your system? iTunes needs to be installed for the iPhone plugin to recognize iPhones and iPod touches.

Hm, maybe you installed the wrong beta plugin, the latest beta plugin is for firmware 3.1 and doesn't work with 3.1.0.1256, you need to have 3.1.2 beta installed on your system for use with that latest plugin.

Hmmmm,
I have 3.0 firmware, itunes 8 and the new 3.1.2 beta build of MM. Media monkey sees my ipod and I can send an album at a time to be synced however my Ipod says its full (according to itunes) and theres no room left on the ipod. But theres only a few apps and 3 albums.
Should I upgrade to the 3.1 firmware?

I really doubt upgrading to 3.1 will solve those issues, but if you want to upgrade then I don't see why you shouldn't. Anyway, where does itunes say the storage is being used? If a majority of it is listed as "other", you probably have a bunch of music files on the iPod that just isn't connected to the iPod database. In that case you'll need to either restore the device or delete the music manually. This has happened to me before a few times, I was able to delete the extra tracks using iPhone browser:

Yeah this is exactly what happened. Itunes says my ipod is filled with "other" stuff. Do i have to jailbreak my ipod to use iphone browser?

No. You just install it on your system and then you can browse the iPhone file directory. I forget exactly where tracks are stored, but its near the bottom and named "Library" or something like that.

Hey guys i need help badly!
I have been trying to get my iphone 3gs running 3.0 to come up in mediamonkey and it just isnt working. I have MM version 3.1.2.1266 and as i said iphone is running 3.0.
I also have itunes version 8.1.0.52 installed.
I coipied the d_iPhone.dll to c:\program files\mediamonkey\plugins and over written the old one.
but when i plug the phone in MM does nothing at all and if i click sync it tell me there is no device set up. The only thing that could maybe be a problem is itunes gives me an error when i connect my iphone (ie it wont sync there) that error is 0xE8000022..
please help!
Thanks,
lilfellabob

You'll have to get your device sorted with iTunes. If the device won't sync in iTunes, it certainly won't with MM. Try googling the error message you get.

ok thanks buddy, that helps - at least now i know that this itunes error is whats screwing me up. problem is thaat all solutions to the error involve restoring and i cannot restore to 3.0 (itunes wont allow it) and i cant go to 3.1 beacause ill lose my unlock. looks like ill just have to wait for a way to restore to 3.0.
Thanks,

Hi folks. Seems that I'm not alone with my syncing problems. Maybe someone can shed some light on what is going wrong.
I'm running firmware V3.0.1 on my Ipod Touch 32GB, ITunes 8.2 and MM 3.1.1.1261 Gold with Jiri's latest beta dll under Win XP.
Started from scratch after updating my Ipod to 3.0.1. All seems to work fine. I'm manually syncing batches of 1-2 GB of songs to my IPos via MM (no Itunes interaction). After syncing about 15GB of music, suddenly the IPod doesn't stop to sync. MM shows all song under my Ipod, but IPod says still "syncing". So i have canceled the Syncing by unlocking the Ipod. Accessing the db on my Ipod leads to "updating database" and after a while everything is there and looks fine. BUT after doing a further sync, MM is transfering the files but my IPod doesn't say "syncing". On the Ipod the whole library is now scrambled. Wrong albums, wrong cover art etc. All I have to do, delete all songs and start from scratch...
After updating my Ipod to V3.0.1 I was never able to sync my whole library.
Is anyone here having the same problem?
Thanks for your help!
