Anyone else finding this?
I sync my device (Creative ZEN, MTP) and find hundreds of files being resent despite being unchanged.... and I think they are only the files that I have played in MM since the last sync.

No, not with my iPod, iPhone, MTP device, or flash drive.

Thanks NH. I'll investigate.

This failure is with USB_Mass1.DLL on a SUBST drive.
NH, is your flash drive success using this DLL?

No, it was with WMDM.

Thanks. Have you ever got this to work with USB_Mass1.DLL?

I just tested it and it did indeed re-copy a track after playing it and syncing again with USBmass and a subst drive.

Thanks. This looks like a bug which may explain the long-reported "Big Sync" problem...
Well partly. My original question was about MTP, and this finding is about USB/MSC. I've filed a bug perhaps when MSC gets fixed, my MTP issue will do too.

I'll re-test on iPod and with MTP device to make sure.

It appears to be affecting all devices contrary to my initial post. I was able to replicate this problem on an iPod (d_iPod.dll), iPhone (d_iPhone.dll), and flash drive (with WMDM plugin).

Zero topics, actually. All the facts go in Mantis.
