Before I upgrade, any experience with these yet? Does MediaMonkey work with these?

Great news about iTunes 10, safe with both MM and JB!

Now, how about iOS4.1? Any news on that, Mediamonkeywise? Jailbreaking still not confirmed, so stay calm a little while if you're JBed.

I can't live without SBSettings :D

Early reviews do say it fixes a lot of the 3G performance issues.

Not getting any such luck with my iPhone 4 (using iTunes 10 and iOS 4.1). It actually worked once, when I had iTunes 9 and iOS 4.02. Then I did two things, after which it stopped working at all:
1) upgraded iTunes to 10
2) installed iTunes and MM on another computer and started using it to do synching.

On the 2nd computer, MM crashes everytime I plug in my iPhone. (Log file contents inserted at the bottom).
On the original computer, MM immediately returns from doing a synch with no files copied.

I tried using iTunes to erase the synch (by turning music synch on with no files selected, doing a synch, then reverting to no synching from iTunes). I also upgraded the phone to iOS 4.1 and nothing changed.

Since iTunes 10 allows you to select individual albums (not just an artist), I think I'll abandon using MM for music synching on my iPhone.

Log file from laptop where MM crashes:

Well you should start by upgrading to MediaMonkey 3.2.2 as previous versions aren't compatible with iOS4.

Guess I should have specified, I am using 3.2.2.1300 on the computer where MM doesn't crash. For the one that did crash, I just now updated it and everything started working. Still can't sync with the first computer though. Guess that'll have to do, and I won't have to use iTunes (whew!).

If iPhone is never authorized on that PC I'm thinking that is the reason.

I've got it authorized on two computers.

Interesting. I got it to sync from one computer. Then I went to sync the same songs from the 2nd computer. It prompted me to delete songs "not on the device sync list", deleted them, and then didn't copy a single song to the phone, leaving it empty. This 2nd computer absolutely refuses to put any music on the phone, but is more than ready to delete whatever is on the phone.

Maybe you didn't specify any tracks in the auto-sync list on that pc.

Finally figured out what went wrong for me. On the computer that won't copy files to the iPhone, my music is on a USB drive. The last time I plugged in the drive the OS arbitrarily assigned a different drive letter and MM no longer pointed to the music files. I edited the Windows registry to put the correct drive letter back and now it works.

MM did not provide any error messages or feedback to indicate that it was no longer connected to the music files. I would suggest this should be added to a future build of the software.
