Galaxy S3 slow listing playlist

I'm using MediaMonkey 4.0.6.1501 to sync music and playlists to my Galaxy S3 (ICS 4.0.4). I'm syncing to the phone's 32GB memory and not the SD card. Everything works great and I have all my songs and playlists.
However, when the Music Player app is on the "Playlists" tab it takes a long time to render the list of available playlists and the phone is temporarily locked up. This happens when the orientation changes and when I try to swipe up and down to scroll through the available. It doesn't happen when I'm viewing the All, Albums, or Artists tabs.
It may be a bug in ICS, but I'm wondering if it could also be my sync options in MediaMonkey.
In MediaMonkey the device is using d_WMDM.dll. Device -> Options -> Playlist has:
"Sync playlists" is checked.
"Library playlists" is checked.
Destination Directory: \Playlists\
"Force relative paths" is checked.
"Use extended M3U" is checked.
"Use Linux folder separator" is checked.
Other options are not checked.
