iPod Touch 4G iOS6 Sync Issue

So, I recently got a used iPod Touch (4th Gen, iOS6). I reset it to factory defaults, and tried to use it with Mediamonkey. After spending forever online I finally got the settings on the iPod and in iTunes correct, so the iPod now shows up in mediamonkey. However, any time I try to sync my music, it hangs up on the first song. Mediamonkey doesn't crash or anything, it just says "Synchronizing [my] iPod touch: (Copying 1 of....)" indefinitely, I tried leaving it go all night to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I suggest you capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support for troubleshooting: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=12&t=69

I'm having the same issue. Syncing to other devices like an USB Flash Drive and newer IOS device (iPod NANO) works better.

I'm unable to replicate using touch 4G iOS 6.1.6, iTunes 12.3.1.23 (64 bit), Windows 10 Pro

Pleas eopen support ticket and follow suggestion from lowlander to create log file

Part of the bug report requests a copy of the iTunes_Control folder. It's over 12GB. When re-creating the issue to proved the bug report I only attempted a sync of a couple of tracks, but my iPod already has a large library which was previously copied when Media Monkey worked. I'm concerned that if I delete the entire library to report this bug, I won't ever get it back.

You can start with just sending the debug log. If support needs more they'll ask.

Here is what I've experienced

IPOD Touch 4G - Model MC544LL/A
iOS version 6.1.6 (10B500)

MM Gold - V4.1.8.1751 - Computer -> IPOD syncs Fine (Installed as Portable)
MM Gold - V4.1.9.1764 - Doesn't Sync. Slow - gets to the end, no errors, but nothing is on the device. Check the tree - music shows but cannot be accessed.

Bit of a problem with V4.1.8.175 - Within MM I would remove content from the IPOD, which it would do in the list, but it wouldn't delete from the device. Only after I synced with ITUNES did this function work properly. Bit strange.

Something is wrong with V4.1.9.1764 - can't even Sync

I have a similar issue using the latest MMW v4.1.10.1778 Gold under Windows 10, iPod Touch 4, IOS 6.1.6 (latest supported). It was taking hours to sync a couple hundred tracks. The db eventually corrupted I assume as I could not get MMW to quit scanning (even though unchecked). I did a factory reset of the iPod, which took care of the db issue. I then tried to sync with the clean device, but it was still extremely slow.

After reading the related threads in the forum, I downloaded v4.1.8.1751 and performed a portable installation. I copied my mm.db and ini file from the other installation, then opened up MM. Synch performance was back to normal again...

You should open support ticket and create debug logs using both versions and same files, also it is possible that clean portable version influence speed.

So I would suggest that you use both portable versions.
