2223 - User admission delegation issue || crash on E/A failure

Hi,

I encountered an issue with MMs user admission Delegation while trying to rip some CDs.
Files were supposed to be copied to a folder granting write access to members of Administrators group only, which I actually am, though.
Still, MM could not create any Folder or file.

The actual bad thing is: Along with displaying the error information window MM crashed into unhandled exceptions EVERY TIME I tried (whilst finding out that write access must be granted to "Everyone").
Even worse: Error reporting crashed as well.

After granting global write permissions everything works fine now.

did you create a debug log and submit to support?

Nah didn't.
Actually intended to post the error ID after transmitting the error log - but as already mentioned, the error reporting itself got hung as well.
Freshly set up Windows 10 rev. 1909, with a freshly installed MM5 b2223.
Should be easy to reproduce - IF you installed current MM release on a *new* machine.
Can't tell how MM behaves if you just update Windows and MM alongside…

[edit] Thinking about it, I don't remember having had this kinda trouble in earlier releases.
Thus, fresh Installation on a new system might do the trick.

Hi, if the log failed to submit, could you please look for it in
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\EurekaLab s.a.s\EurekaLog\Bug Reports\
it should be located there as MediaMonkeyEngine.el

Hm this hopefully still contains those logs...
Have had a couple of crashes for other reasons meanwhile...
Plus I can't tell when exactly the crashes occured any more :(
