Registering your License
To unlock the Gold features in MediaMonkey you need to enter your License. Use MediaMonkey Gold (only shown when using the free version) from the Main Menu to enter your License. Help & About from the Main Menu will show what License you're using. Make sure you enter both the License Username and License Key exactly as provided (both case sensitive).

Gold Licenses
MediaMonkey offers two types of Licenses:
- A version License which is only valid for all releases of that version. So a 5.x License is valid for all releases of MediaMonkey 5.
- A Lifetime License, which is valid for the current version of MediaMonkey and future versions of MediaMonkey. So a Lifetime License is valid for MediaMonkey 5, 6, etc.
Gold Features
The standard version of MediaMonkey is free for personal use, however, the more advanced Gold version adds a range of functionality for more serious collectors. Some of the added features included with MediaMonkey Gold are:
- Custom Collections, allow you to set up subcollections of music (e.g. Kids Music, Comedies, etc.) or videos that can be managed independently.
- Auto-Conversion Customization, Auto-Conversion converts files on-the-fly from an unsupported format as they are synced to a portable device or shared with a UPnP/DLNA client. In addition, it can level volume on-the-fly. MediaMonkey Gold users can change the Auto-Conversion settings.
- Custom MP3 Encoding settings, allows you to change the settings for MP3 encoding. MP3 encoding/decoding itself is free.
- Unlimited Chromecast Streaming, the free version is limited to 30 minutes of Chromecast streaming.
- Secure Ripping - Copies your CDs with the greatest accuracy possible, and compares them to an AccurateRip database to verify integrity.
- Auto-Tag limit raised from 20 to 100 files at a time the restriction of 1 fingerprint per second lifted.
- Lyrics & Artwork lookup can be automatically saved to the tags.
- Automated Organization - Allows you to set up custom rules for re-organizing files in the background.
- Automatic Volume Analyis will automatically analyze volume for any files with unknown Track or Album Volume in the background.
- High-performance ripping, volume leveling, and conversion, utilizing multiple CPU cores set under Tools > Options > Performance from the Main menu.
- Sleep Timer, which allows you to automatically end playback after a set period.
