Do you typically have iTunes running while MM is running?
If so, shut MM and iTunes down first > re-open MM > do the location removal/Folder Monitoring disabled/shutdown MM/restart MM steps again,
just to see if there is some sort of interference going on.

I actually am still using iTunes, simply for ripping CDs in the first place, because of two meta-data things MediaMonkey does not yet support, but iTunes does:
- custom sort orders (for Albums, Artists, Composers...), which are supported by my Walkman (e.g. so David Bowie comes up under B, not under D)
- Track X of Y, Disc M of N

If MediaMonkey supported those, I'd have no use for iTunes other than to play a few DRM-protected tunes I bought from the iTunes store years ago.

Every time I start up MediaMonkey, it keeps coming up with my iTunes library added to its library, and merrily starts scanning the 16,500 tracks in there.
Check the device profile for the D: drive in Options > Portable Device Sync by selecting it in the list and clicking on Configure. Uncheck 'Scan as soon as the device is connected' and especially any Auto-Sync options that have been set (if enabled).

Try this:
Temporarily disable Folder Monitoring again > remove Location again > shutdown MM > Create a new folder to put iTunesMusicLibrary into, something
like D:/Music 2/iTunesMusicLibrary/... > restart MM > see if it adds it.

Are you using iTunes anymore or are you just maintaining an iTunes library in a folder?
If you are still using iTunes and you need the original path to make it work properly without messing things up,
then don't do that. :(

Is your iTunes library/folder a subfolder or a root/parent folder?
Is it on a removable drive or device?

It's still doing it, despite trying all your suggestions!

One you remove files/folders from the Library only Folder Monitoring can add it back automatically.

Try temporarily disabling Folder Monitoring everywhere > remove undesired folder again at Entire Library --> Location > close down MM > restart > recreate any extra actions, if needed > see if it still adds it.

Well it's still doing it! :-O

I can't get it to stop.
It's showing up in the "Entire Library" node, not My Computer (well, it's in there too...)

Did I perhaps tell MediaMonkey to eat my iTunes library when I first installed it? Could it be in an .ini file or something?

Folder Monitoring is the only way MediaMonkey can rescan folders on startup.

Note that My Computer will always show all media content on your PC as it isn't your Library.

I don't remember doing that... I looked at it and it was enabled, but not for that rogue iTunes library folder! So that mustn't be it?

Perhaps you enabled Folder Monitoring undet File > Add/Rescan Files?

I'm on 4.1.10.1778 on Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

Every time I start up MediaMonkey, it keeps coming up with my iTunes library added to its library, and merrily starts scanning the 16,500 tracks in there.

I've right-clicked on that in the tree and selected 'Remove' loads of times.

I've done File > Clear Database.

It still keeps coming back! What am I missing out?
