MediaMonkey Playlists are stored in the database itself. Thus you can't open them as individual files. You can export them to M3U though (Tools > Scripts > Export All Playlists).

How to Open Playlists Directly?

by ReggieB » Sat Oct 21, 2017 11:43 am

Hi all, I have a question about playlists. Is there any way to open MediaMonkey playlists as if opening a M3U playlist? For example, if a create an M3U playlist then double click it, it will automatically start playing all the songs in the playlist in MediaMonkey. But since MediaMonkey's playlists aren't really individual files, I don't know of any way to automatically open MediaMonkey and play them.

Does anyone know of a convenient way to automatically open and play a playlist in MediaMonkey? Maybe I can make a shortcut that MediaMonkey recognizes as a playlist? Or another acceptable option would be for MediaMonkey to store all playlists as M3U files in a folder somewhere. Will these or any other options help me open and play playlists directly? Thanks in advance.
