That's a different issue, discussed here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... w_computer

You need to update the drive ID when you swap drives (including network locations mapped to a drive): http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =2&t=63823

Okay, I did that with no success. I have:

Not sure what the last three nodes are about.

Changing this location didn't do much of anything. Do I need to rescan? All my tracks show what I THINK is the correct location now, but they remain gray and hitting play causes the fast cycle you have to dump out to stop.

[\\MEDIA-SERVER\G (Other)]\Music\A Flock of Seagulls\The Best of A Flock of Seagulls\A Flock of Seagulls - (It's Not Me) Talking.flac

Best Way To Bulk Edit Location?

by Agrajag » Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:52 pm

I had all my library of FLAC files on a local G: drive called "Other", but then decided to move everything over to a media server I set up called "MEDIA-SERVER". To keep things pretty simple the drive letters are the same on the media server and I mapped the G: drive on the media server as the local G: drive on my PC.

That keeps MM happy. However, that has created some issues locally. I have the media server set to sleep when it's not being used and whenever I use any program with a file dialog, I end up having to wait to open a file, save a file, etc., for the media server to boot up and respond. I'd rather this really only happened when I launched MM when it goes to access that location.

First, how can I most readily change all my songs (and many playlists) to be seen as existing on the G:\Music\ folder of "MEDIA-SERVER"?

Also, is there anything else I should be changing or setting?

Thanks!
