Thanks for trying to help. But this software is much too much of an effort for me. It isn't intuitive enough. It's trying to be all things to all people and I don't have the energy for all this.

Another example of something that is too much work are the reports. If I want to create a report, it seems that I can't simply click on the the tags I want. I have to create an SQL addon script. I haven't used SQL in a decade, and am not going to re-learn it.

The report 3.2 script to allow you to customize the report that is on the forums crashed my MM.

Do note that anytime a file/location is added that it isn't removed when it no longer is selected in the scan dialog.

So, remove the location(s) from the Music > Location node in the Media Tree and make sure it no longer is selected for scanning (either left side manual scan or right side Folder Monitoring in the Add/Rescan Files dialog).

These were separate folders not sub-folders.

MediaMonkey only scans the locations you tell it to, however you can't tell it to not scan a sub-folder of a folder you selected to be scanned.

I'm new to MM. I wanted to limit the files and locations to add.
I went to File-Add/Rescan files an then selected the folders and file types which I wanted to use.
When adding, the file types are limited to those I selected, but I'm also seeing folders I did not select added.

I don't want these items as they are not music files.
If I update the list will they again be added the the database?
