IMO, MM is far superior to dbpoweramp for all except ripping (r12 reference), and mass replay gain scanning (r12 references + replay gain dsp), and possibly a larger variety of conversion formats (mp4 etc).
dbpoweramp is not really suited for total library management, although it does have some unique/powerful features.
MM CAN sync/convert to ipods (altho not to mp4 files), check out the options for portable/audio devices, configure your sync profile options to auto-convert to your preferences.
