Make sure you have download the LATEST version and not the very first release. You want to make sure you have version 3.0.1.1109

(check in Help --> About)
Using latest release; even unistalled and downloaded it again and reinstalled..

No luck..

I also had no desire to own an Ipod but a friend replaced his "broken" one with a 160 gig and gave me the broken one. I was able to fix it and am loving it. However, I could not get it to synch until I checked the above option.
verified that option is selected...

Still no luck.

Read the iPod Tour and it is basic info, nothing helpful there.

Out of desperation I downloaded Winamp and the iPod plugin and it works flawlessly...

Have you read iPod tour?
It can give you some hints on settings even it is written for MM 2.5.5.

Please stand in the line and calmly grab one copy of MediaMonkey newest Release Candidate to start. 8)

Where can I get the beta? I've poked around, and can't seem to find it anyplace?

Thanks!

You need the new MediaMonkey 3.0 Beta 3 since Apple tried to block other software from synching with iPods. The new version is compatible though.

iPod Nano 8Gb Sync Issues

by delterion » Sat Sep 29, 2007 3:16 am

I've just bought an iPod "sorry for swearing" to replace my previous mp3 player. I've been using Media Monkey with absolutely no issues for ages now and i've followed the "unofficial" instructions in the Forums but every time i sync and then eject the device it finds nothing on the device at all. I then fire up iTunes "more swearing" and the damned piece of shit software askes me to restore the device as the database is broke or something.

Sounds like the iPod plugin does not work that well with the latest iPods either that or i am really becoming a "MAC User".

I updated to the latest version of the iPod firmware and it still does the same thing.

I pyhsically felt sick buying an iPod becuase i hate Mac's and all that they stand for but it looked like a cool device so i went ahead.

Now the bloody thing won't recognise my music unless i use iTunes and i refuse to do that.

HELP!!!!!
