Try to reproduce with the smallest Playlist possible and send a debug log from About in MMA right after sync. Reply here with the logID.

Hi,
I have been experimenting with the sync funtion from MM4 to MMA further. My initial question was about songs not showing up in MMA after Sync.
The first example was a playlist of 157 songs. All 157 songs showed up on the MMA>Card>Playlists>M3u file yet only 111 showed up in the playlist on MMA.
I deleted the playlist from MMA, then repeated the sync from MM4 to MMA. the playlist didn't show up in the MMA>playlists.
I re-synced the same playlist again and 45 songs showed up even though the M3u showed 157 songs.
Next step. I created a new playlist in MM4 using the same 157 songs with a different name. Did the usb sync to the card and all 157 songs are there. I did no editing to the songs in the MM4. library while trying all these syncs.
I have other playlists in MMA that are missing 1 or more songs while the m3u files show 100 songs.
I appreciate any input. I have synced 50 playlists to MMA and it is time consuming to find the missing tracks in the playlists.

Does deleting the m3u playlist on MMA actually clear that playlist from MMA?

Thanks,

Mike

$Left(<Artist>,20) cuts off the Artist at 20 characters, so this is expected and should not cause problems. Are you doing a wifi or USB sync?

Hi,

I finally found it...I think.

I went to (Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync > Galaxy S20+ 5G - Card > Configure > Options > Sync Files to Music: Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title>

What's your Mask you use for filenames on the device (Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync in MMW)?

truncated filename MM4 to MMA sync

While syncing from MediaMonkey Pro 4.1.29.1910 to MMA 1.3.9.0924 some of the song filenames become truncated on the m3u file and the filename in the corresponding music folder and don't appear on the MMA playlist.

An example is on MM4 the song "I:\MM Music\Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band\Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Against The Wind\006 - Against The Wind.mp3" Becomes:
"../Music/Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band/Against The Wind/06 Bob Seger & The Silv - Against The Wind.mp3

I have not found a solution on my own and would appreciate some advice
