Hi,
As raised by some users if Device profile is imported correctly. A connected device settings should look like in this image and there should not be any issues and playlist should show and play without any problems.

Hi,
That is strange, device should be detected more quickly. I had a40 on test for short time and had no such issues in MM5. Do you already have some files on device is it possible that MM5 scans for files while you try to sync?

I can't remember MM do not detect a40 if it is not plugged in prior to MM start.

Hi Peke, MM5 only crashed the one time, after which it recognized my device.

MM5 now consistently recognizes my device but only if it is plugged in to the computer before I launch MM5. Syncs are very slow though - it took about an hour this morning to copy over 300 files.

Hi,
It is strange that MM5 crashes. Can you please open support Ticket so that we can go into more details. I have worked with several users and tested on multiple devices to update profile. Maybe it is is something simple in your settings that it was missed.

Use same credentials when you go onto Support.

Yes it is, and I can see the Sony folders in Explorer.

Soon after posting my screen shots, MM5 crashed on me (I sent the report). Upon restarting the Sony is showing up and is no syncing. When it's done, I'll restart the computer and see if it MM5 still recognizes the Sony. I'll report back.

Is the device connected via USB (required) to your PC and available in File Explorer while you're doing this?

When I plug in my Sony, it shows up in the left panel. Right clicking brings up the menu, but SYNC is not selectable.

If I select the DEVICES & SERVICES icon on the left panel, the Sony shows up as one of the devices, but its status is shown as DISCONNECTED.

Hi, which sync icon are you referring?

If you go directly to the profile like this:

Is the [SYNC NOW] button available to click? And if you click it, does the sync proceed as it should?

My Sony NW-a50 shows up in MM5, but the sync icon is grayed out. I am using the 4/25/20 version of the Sony NV-A30/NW-A40/NW-A45/NV-A50 Series 1.2 profile. Do I need to wait for a MM5 specific profile to become available before I can sync my NW-a50 with MM5?
