Yes I sometimes use this method, works but still not "the bomb" :)

But for now you can use the standard Windows keys to do it:

hopefully they can convert all these current shortcuts into the new hotkeys and add many possible alternatives like this one that can be configured

F8 = Expands Artist Node
F9 = Expands Album Node
F10 = Expands Genre Node
F11 = Expands Year Node

It would be VERY VERY useful if pushing for example F8 again collapsed the Artist Node instead of having to press F7 to collapse the whole tree then having to go back to Playlists (or any custom node for that matter)

My 2 cents that would make alot of difference to me :)
