Wow thats going to take a while! Might consider it if it works though.

Have worked out a short-term fix. I sync'd my phone with iTunes. I then navigated to the music on my iPhone through iTunes. I right-clicked on a song and selected "get info". The info came up, including the album art. When I closed the window, the phone syncd and the album art appeared on the phone (at least for that particular track on the album).

I will upgrade to 1299 as you advise!

This is a known problem with 1298. Please upgrade to 1299, delete all music from your iPhone/iPod/iPad (i.e. autosync with nothing selected), and then resync with whatever playlists you have.

Let us know if that does the trick.

This happened about a week ago so 3.2.2.1298. I haven't upgraded to 1299 yet.

HELP!

I spent a number of hours transferring albums to my iPhone 4 running OS4. Everything had worked fine, with album covers transferring no problem, and appearing no problem on the iphone. However, 2 problems arose;

1. When the iPhone reached full capacity, the artists where no longer listed in alphabetic order in coverflow mode on the iPhone (when in artist list mode, they were)
2. When I synchronised my iPhone with iTunes in order to do a backup and sync my calender, this seemed to work no problem, but when I again looked at the music on my iPhone, all the covers had gone!! The music is still there and plays fine, but every single album cover has disappeared!!

Everything is working fine on my Ipod touch 3g 64GB (iOS4), Itunes 9.2 and Windows 7, 4GB PC.

I've had this happen to me on occasion (clicking sync leads to nothing being synced). Invariably it happens when a) the sync list contains no files b) the sync list contains no syncable files and auto-conversion is disabled.

Did you set an auto-sync list in the device options?

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I can not get this to sync with 3GS OS4. I do not get an error. My phone shows syncing for a split second and nothing else happens.

How about just album art - nothing to do with videos? I have some songs that are syncing the art correctly and others that pick a cover at random.

They are displaying correctly in MM, just wacked out on the iPhone (3GS, iOS 4.01.)

Hi,

Can anyone reproduce the Album Art / Video Thumbnails corruption issue with 3.2.2.1299?

Note: when testing this, make sure to resync any videos with iTunes and verify that the thumbnails display correctly before syncing with MM.

Thanks.

i have the same on the ipad but the video's in question are files i've ripped myself from camcorder or dvd etc. the artwork is all intact but then there are only 3 files anyway! the artwork on the videos are from, specifically, podcasts and not normal music albums.

I just synced again and more video thumbnails got corrupted. These include ones I ripped my self as well as ones I purchased from iTunes. In most cases, the artwork was replaced with unrelated album artwork.

The only thing I have noticed so far is in the Music Explorer view for the IPOD Touch the Album category does not expand out to sub folders like all the other categories. This does work when looking at albums in my Library. I have synced to my ipod touch IOS 4.0 3G 8GB (I know it is really a 2G). From a 64 Bit Windows 7 Professional machine with 8 GB ram. I have not experienced any other issues/concerns yet.
