AVI files use "RIFF tag" which is the same as the tag of WAVE.
OGM files use "vorbis comment" which is the same as the tag of Ogg Vorbis.
MPG files use "ID3 tag" which is the same as the tag of MP3.
Therefore I think it is easy to be enable ReplayGain in these formats.
For example, dBpower Music Converter can save ReplayGain values in WMV and MP4 video files.
I don't know about MKV, RM, FLV and others.
ID3 tag in MPG is not standard and can cause problems with playback, especially on HW players. I've tried it already and even some SW players had problems with it.
MKV allows metadata storing too, MM cannot store metadata to it now, but it is planned.
And - this issue is not only about storing replay gain info into tag, but also about making it work as usual
Maybe later we will try to implement this, I think.
