The 1348 to 1349 upgrade made things really slow here, unfortunately I can't optimize as MediaMonkey still wants to use my Windows drive for this and it doesn't have enough free space for that.

The problem is gone after a complete optimization.
The MM.db was an almost completely "fresh" one from a new installation.
I did not expect the DB to be so far from an optimal/optimized state with almost no interference from my side.
Maybe there is a problem with the standard scan/rescan operations, that lead to such suboptimal initial results?

Seems the same as in MM3 here, can't reproduce any problem.

MP3 tagging is extremely slow & CPU-load very high.
Anyone else?
